The Fallen of The Greatest King of Israel

One day when David took Bathsheba, the one whom had husband already, the one whose name is Uriah. That time David ordered Joab to put Uriah in the front of the battle, and Uriah died in the battle against the citizens of Raba, the Ammon. David with his own will putted Uriah in order to make Uriah dies! And then he took Bathsheba as his wife, but David did evil in front of God’s eyes!
After that God sent The prophet Nathan to David, and than told him a parable about a rich man who had so many flock of lambs, and a poor who only had a little baby sheep. This poor took care of his sheep until it grew up. One day one of the rich’s friend came up, and the rich felt so pity to slaughter on his own flocks. And then he took this poor’s, rather one of his own.
David became so angry after heard the story, and told that the rich one should be punish to dead. But Nathan said to David, that he was that rich man. David do evil to God! God was so angry with him. And then we can see what become the respond of David. In his psalm chapter 51, he said to God do not throw away him from God’s sight, and asked to do not take His spirit inside him. The sacrifice is the broken heart, and the crashed He will not underestimate. David asked God to have mercy on him.
When David wrote this psalm and confessed his sins, and told the truth to the chief of the musician. When the chief of the musician has duty to lead the ceremony, the ceremony would be attended by the citizens of Jerusalem also and of course the fall of David wasn’t only known by several persons but also everybody else.
From this story we can take so many positive lessons. Start from Nathan, who was the prophet of God and told David who did something wrong. The king of Israel, honored, feared, and respected by all the Israelites. Nathan as the prophet of God obeyed about what God ordered to him. He had no fear even the one he would face was the king who had power to order his soldiers to kill Nathan, but Nathan took the risk to tell the truth of God. For him, God is the most important and not persons. Ironic, these times the churches of God, even who have been Christian for a long time are in this condition. Do cut and pick to seek and tell the wrong thing, and do not reveal the truth but cover with fake lying. Persons who fear God will reveal the truth and not push their own will and play save. Even many people say they receive “God’s words”, but the reality aren’t the voices of God but their own heart’s will. Even to please their leaders, do lying and put name of God for his own sake. The judgment of God will be real for that person. Be the person who has a tough character  of telling and guarding the truth like Nathan did.
Another example we can take from David who was the one who had a deep intimacy with God. When David did this thing he apologize to the God, and then humbled himself too see God’s face. Of course in his sadness he felt God was so angry with him because He sent the prophet warned hardly to him. He humbled himself and said “have mercy to me, God, by the good will of your faithfulness!” David felt so sad because the mistake he did, and asked God to forgive him. Ironic to see this happens in so many Christian churches who say they love God but do evil. They who do evil and do not confess it as a crime. Many they feel save and calm and think that God won’t be angry but they forget about God is justice. He punish men by their own mistakes! The reality is this, God sees what we’ve done, so turn back today, seek His mercy and leave the old life. Holy Spirit will give the the ability if we humble down ask for His will, and have desires to be changed.
Have desire like David to come back to God. David didn’t protect his ego as a king, but confess his mistake even because of that people knew. He knew that God was his focus in like and not the good name, or big name to be protected. Have a heart like David who was bravely admitted his mistakes! He was the greatest king that Israel have ever had but he humbly down to confess. So if we do something evil admit that in front of God and the one who gets hurt. Of course when Bathsheba heard about this psalm, her feeling was so blue, maybe she was sad or angry, but David still did it. Be a Christian who bravely admits mistake, and apologize. And see how God does the process amazingly in the life.
The Bible tells fairly about the fallen of David, the king, the one whom blessed by God. The Bible amazingly tells about things that world would be thought as a fool and says the Bible is not holy, and etc. but see, how the Bible guides and gives the ways of life! It doesn’t tell about the good only, but also the fallen, for what? In order the people of God have right direction of life. The Words of God are so real.

Let us take the examples from the life of David and Nathan, and be a blessing for others around you so they can feel God’s love. Be a blessing in our daily life. Lord Jesus bless you all until the cometh of His day.
